Open the My Riffs tab and tap the large record button. Play your idea, then tap again to stop. You can preview and retake before saving โ title, tuning, and notes are all optional.
Entirely on your device. Woodshed has no accounts and no servers โ nothing you record is ever uploaded. Include your riffs in an iCloud/iTunes device backup to keep them safe.
Yes. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app works fully offline. The microphone is used only to record riffs and to power the tuner, and that audio stays on your device.
Woodshed needs microphone permission. Go to Settings โ Woodshed โ Microphone and make sure it's enabled, then reopen the app and play a string close to the mic.
Open a riff's detail view and use the practice controls: choose 0.5ร or 0.75ร playback (pitch stays the same), set the A and B points while playing, then tap Loop to drill that section.
Swipe left on any riff in the list and tap Delete, or open the riff and use the trash icon. You'll be asked to confirm โ deletion can't be undone.
No โ Woodshed is free. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Recording, overdub, and the tuner work best with the built-in mic or headphones.
